Jacques Renault; Figure it out.

Jacques Renault has worked with countless artists from conception, development to final production bringing his strongly aligned tastes in disco and house to the table. A true musician who followed his heart into the realm of dance music, he leaves a marker of his own taste, feeling & emotion on everything he touches. He’s held residencies at many famous New York venues, traveled the world around DJing with some of the finest talent, and is involved with more record labels than you can swing a stick at. I’ve found at least 7, but I’m sure there’s more. And each one has its own unique and developed backstory. On The Prowl, DFA, Rekids, Wurst, I’m a Cliche, Chinatown and RVNG.

We are nothing short of ecstatic that he’s agreed to play the last of the interrobang parties at Bedlam this Friday, May 20th. We trust that he’ll bring in the May 21st apocalypse with a bang. CORGI PICTURES will be hosting the evening and is joined by resident DJ Gunnie.

Mark Palgy, a founding member and bassist for dance-punk success VHS or BETA, will be presenting a collection of music intended for guests of Bedlam Bar & Lounge who may consider eschewing New York City’s cabaret laws by both cutting rugs and shaking butts. Palgy has been quite active as of late, with rumoured upcoming releases expected from both VHS or BETA as well as a solo release with his good friends at Throne of Blood. Not to mention his recent co-production of a track by Hussle Club called Quaranteenagers. We can expect a continuation of his dance sensibility on Friday. CORGI PICS will be hosting the evening and is joined by resident DJ Gunnie.

A longtime fixture on NYC’s dance music scene, James Friedman has recently expanded his DJ and curation duties into the A&R realm, running the spot-on label, Throne of Blood, alongside the Rapture. Expect an artful blend of house and techno, with lovely new cuts from Ulysses and Populette as well as other bits from the imprint’s solid stable. CORGI PICS will be hosting the evening and is joined by resident DJ Gunnie.

Prince Language has played all over the world and has been a resident DJ at places like APT as well as being behind famed NYC parties such as NegroClash. He has remixed songs by The Rapture, Armand Van Helden, The Juan Maclean, Lindstrøm, LCD Soundsystem and more recently Peter Gordon and the Love Of Life Orchestra. It would be hard to describe the sound of Prince Language as anything less than gripping, smooth and uplifting. Enjoying a world class DJ such as Prince Language at Bedlam, in the location of the prior 40C, will be nothing short of a pleasure. CORGI PICTURES will be hosting the night and is joined by resident DJ Gunnie.
